How long will it take to complete?

We aim for a 16 week build time to get you in your new home as soon as possible.

How do I apply for the first home owners grant?

Inform your financier when purchasing your first block of land that you are eligible for the first home owners grant. Your financier will then provide you with the relevant documentation required.

Can I come visit my house during the construction stage?

Yes!

Carter Homes allows you to visit the construction site during the build, as long as workplace health and safety requirements are met at all times.

Will I receive an “extras” bill at the end of the build?

Carter Homes provides a fixed price contract at the commencement of your build which states your inclusions. Circumstances in which you will incur an “extras” bill is if you decide to change or add to your contracted inclusions. We will always discuss any extra charges with you before proceeding with alterations.

What is your maintenance period after completion?

At completions we do a walk through with our clients and rectify and issues at that time. 6 months after handover we will contact you to discuss any maintenance issues. QBCC home warranty insurance requires Carter Homes to ensure the structural integrity of the building for 6.5 years from completion date.
